A day late and a picture short, I am finally giving the people what they want. Please join me in welcoming Peyton Jane to our family!

Weighing in at 9lbs. 2oz. and measuring just over 20 inches, Peyton Jane was delivered via C-section at 11:15AM on August 11th, 2009. Both she and Mama are happy, healthy and getting plenty of well earned rest after a busy day. Though further evaluation is warranted, early indications are that Peyton Jane is literally made of "sugar and spice and everything nice." At the very least, that is overwhelming impression one is left with while in her presence. Alas, with her mother's looks and father's temperament, our genetic engineering project is showing early promise and earning rave reviews. We can't wait for you to meet her and find out for yourself, if you haven't already. Until then, enjoy some images from Day 1 in the life of Peyton Jane.
