HALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, the Joyce's seats are amazing. They were kind enough to let Denny and I have them for the first half, and it was incredible. Kevin Boss even managed to spot Denny in the crowd and give him a nod.
Eli doing what he does second best...sulking. What does he do best, you ask? Not throw Kevin Boss the ball!!!
A tender moment...
Mikey was kind enough to hook the boys up with tickets (great seats) for the CU vs. Nebraska rivalry game. Rae was kind enough to come along and hang out in Boulder while we attended. This was the day after attending the Bronco game, and the day before attending an Avalanche game. Needless to say, we were in sports heaven.
On the way to the CU game, we were listening to Jim Rome on the radio. He talked about how the most dangerous guy when you're going out isn't the young single guy, but the married guy with 2 kids and a "hall pass" (from the wife). Needless to say, the phrase "hall pass" was thrown around at least a hundred times for the duration of the vacation - exclusively referencing Denny, of course. Classic.
Tailgating at a church. I'd never done that before. We had our own private tailgater while presumably waiting for Mikey's buddy to arrive so we could join him in his pre-game festivities. An hour later, we discovered he'd been tailgating at the adjacent church the entire time. We church-hopped and met up with him, later eating some great chili dogs.
These pictures speak for themselves.
Mikey earning some brownie points.
Denny wanted a picture with the gorilla. He wasn't anticipating the gorilla's mother inserting herself between the two of them and into the picture.
Mikey gesticulating wildly in an attempt to give Rae the lay of the land as we parted ways - the boys to the game, and Rae to Boulder's countless boutiques.
Headed into Folsom Field.
After the game, we found Rae on Pearl St. and were hoping to go to Mountain Sun for some grub. The wait was too long, so we took a stroll in search of an alternative.
Illegal Pete's was our dinner winner. Good stuff, but I maintain it should be Illegal Ignacio's for alliterative effect.
After dinner, we had some walking to do. Some random shots from our multi-mile trek back to the car...
