Second Trimester, here I come!!

The baby belly at nearly 13 weeks. I've been feeling good 90% of the time since about 11 weeks, which has been wonderful! Here comes the hunger pains and good cravings!

We are exploring the chance of a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean). Anyone know of anyone who has successfully done this? My doctor says I can try it, but a lot will depend on how the pregnancy progresses/how big the baby is etc. There are serious risks involved, so I'd love to hear stories of anyone who has tried it!

Random pictures/updates from the past month. .

Parker and Grace:best buds! We went to Salem last week to visit her, Lindsay, and Noel and had lots of fun.

Parker with my parents' exchange student, Diego. He is from Panama and is great with Parker. They spend hours coloring and building with legos.

We took both sets of parents to Skamania Lodge for brunch last weekend. Great company and great food!

Baby #2 is on the way!!

For those of you who don't already know, we are expecting #2!!! This has been the main reason I haven't been blogging lately. I have definitely been sicker this time around. . . .maybe its a girl?! I' am now 11 weeks along, but I already look like I am 4 months pregnant. I am very ready to be done with the first trimester and all the aversions to things that I normally love.

We were able to see the baby in a ultra sound and hear its little, yet very strong, heartbeat at 9 weeks and are just so thankful that things are healthy and normal this time around. Parker is very excited to be a big brother and has taken to hugging and kissing my belly and singing to the baby. He wants to name the baby either Thomas or Percy after characters on Thomas the Train. He also likes to try and pull the baby out of my belly button-he really wants this one to come soon. How do you explain the concept of 9 months to a 2 year old?!

Snow!

We had fun with Mike and Tig yesterday. We went Irving Park with our new tube and had a lot of fun sliding down the hill. Thank goodness for friends who live nearby and aren't afraid to brave the snow or we would have gone crazy all day! They came over the morning for breakfast and to go to the park and back for dinner and a movie in the evening. Good times! Today is another story-ice and freezing rain have made conditions more severe and packed an inch + of ice on top of the 8-10 inches of snow we have, so we won't be going anywhere for awhile (can't get out of our driveway unless we want to slide onto Fremont!)

Parker loves his Bubba

I meant to post these after Thanksgiving-Parker was hillarious giving Bubba non-stop/lengthy kisses. He was in a silly mood and couldn't stop kissing Bubba:)
In other news, I am going to work with Nate! My last day of work was yesterday and this coming Monday I start a Life/Health insurance classes. I'll take that test before doing Property/Casualty after Christmas and then be in the office with him starting mid-January. A lot of change going on in the Bell household!
